3FM jocks at it again

Hi y’all, I’m back from a couple of weeks in Thailand and should hopefully find some time to report back next week, as I won’t be working till the new year. I thought I’d mention the Serious Request organised by 3FM (the fifth year running), because they’re aiming for 2.5 million Euros this year (I just made a small donation) in order for the Dutch government to double the amount. While you’re at it, listen to Armin van Buurens remix of Jordy van Loon to get you into the right mood.

The Prodigy – Smack My Bitch Up

Some VJ once explained that the gents of the Prodigy produced this track because they were unhappy with the direction in which their image was going.

They felt that they were getting too popular, therefore they decided to shock the world with this track. I’m not really sure whether this strategy worked or not, but I do know that I love the video – especially the (surprising) end.

This is really funny stuff. I haven’t had time to investigate the story fully, but hopefully I’ll find some more information on them.

A track from the forthcoming album by Sensuàl. I’ve been listening to their new songs quite a bit over the last few weeks. Their forthcoming album is far from finished, so I haven’t really formed an opinion about their new work. But judging from the material they’ve made available via their website and myspace.com it’s going to be pretty different from their last album.

Deze tune heb ik altijd al geweldig gevonden. Het is werkelijk een heerlijk nummer om op vol volume te draaien terwijl je op vrijdagmiddag richting huis jakkert om aan je weekend te beginnen.

De videoclip is bovendien ook niet te versmaden, vooral door de wilde dame die figureert als instructrice. Het grappige is dat deze dame in het echt precies het tegenovergestelde is van haar karakter in de clip. Dat is tenminste de indruk die ik kreeg toen ik een interview met haar zag. Maar dit terzijde. Enjoy!
