Focus
It’s important to focus, but when you focus too much, you miss other important things. I’m sure we all recognise this. We tend to only mind our own work and not notice what happens around us. This video makes us aware of what happens when we do. Count the number of passes the white team makes.
Santiago de Compostela here I come!
A couple of years ago, in 2004 to be exact, we went on holiday to the North of Spain. We started in Bilbao and followed the coast until we arrived in Santiago de Compostela. While travelling towards Santiago we were surprised by the amount of people en route on foot. As we neared the city the number of pilgrims became more and more dense, because that what they were.
Finally a magazine I’d possibly want to subscribe to: Donald
I saw it in the supermarket when I was flicking through a computer magazine and couldn’t resist buying it. What is it exactly? I don’t know yet, because I haven’t started reading it. But it looks like a version for adults of the Donald Duck.
My new mantra: Radical Honesty
I thought that this article on a new phenomenon called Radical Honesty made an interesing read. Not that I give rat’s *rs* what any of you guys think of it…
Quote of the day
I’m back from a long and luxurious holiday in the South of France and the North of Italy (plus some days in the Pfalz region of Germany),
I had great time. Sun, some sea, lots of hiking, great food, fantastic wines and lot of unwinding in general. So, let me kick off by quoting Abraham Lincoln.
It has been my experience that folks who have no vices have very few virtues.
New year’s resolution
My new year’s resolution for 2009 is to make a (different) hamburger for every week of the year. I love hamburgers and it should be quite interesting to see if I can invent or find a new recipe for every week (save holidays) in 2009.
What about any of you, have any new year’s resolutions?
Disney
We – my friends Giorgos and Gijs, plus his brother-in-law Ivo – recently went to Disney for a good old day of coaster riding. It was kind of a crazy trip, because the four of us set upon our journey around five o’clock in the morning, driving approximately five hundred kilometers and arriving just in time for the park to open at ten.
Posts
It might seem a little quiet here of late, but that’s hardly the case. I’ve decided to keep more personal stuff private. Instead of protecting entries with a password I decided to look into other solutions. Anything of which I feel shouldn’t be shared with the general public is available only to friends. It’s a plugin I found via one of the blogs I visit quite regularly. I’ll be tinkering with it a little bit before I allow people to register.
Spiegels in pashokjes maken slanker
