I was digging through some old bookmarks and came across this British Royal Mint’s page and the winning design for the new GBP.
It was a while back when I saw the design originally and am wondering whether these new coins have actually already gone into circulation? With the British economy in a slight slum it might induce the Brits to increase their spending. I’m actually thinking about helping them a little, with exchange rate being very favourable at the moment and all. Not to mention the fact that it’s been absolutely ages since I went to the UK.
3FM jocks at it again
Hi y’all, I’m back from a couple of weeks in Thailand and should hopefully find some time to report back next week, as I won’t be working till the new year. I thought I’d mention the Serious Request organised by 3FM (the fifth year running), because they’re aiming for 2.5 million Euros this year (I just made a small donation) in order for the Dutch government to double the amount. This economic crisis is already starting to have real impacts on people’s lives in the United States – regular people are paying with their jobs, or even worse, their house. I saw this interesting video about people in California. Quite depressing stuff actually.

Free Burma!
After seeing a post on some other blog I figured it would be a good thing to join the bandwagon on the International Bloggers’ Day for Burma. I find it outrageous and extremely sad that things like the recent events in Burma are still happening in the 21st century. So much for a civilized world…
