Apple’s latest. Everything is just a few hundred clicks away. Instead of what, a few keystrokes? What a load of crock. And what about this one: [...] spent forty five minutes typing [sic] an email. Forty five minutes? I can’t believe people are actually wanting to buying this crap. I actually thought this was some kind of hoax or an April Fools’ Day trick, but since it’s only January that can’t be the case.

  In 1999, although trained as an economist and marketeer, I started working with an application called Crystal Reports (I don't even remember the version). I realised then that what I wanted to be was a, even though I don't think the term was already coined back then, Business Intelligence specialist.

  Over the years my training and experience has amassed and expanded into various fields of expertise and technologies. I am currently working as a BI consultant and trainer for IIPS, ACN, Intenzz with a focus on SAP Business Objects, IBM Cognos and Microsoft SQL Server technology.

  I am particularly interested in the technical aspects of Business Intelligence, i.e. how to implement and deliver a well performing BI solution, and not so much how to get it right from a business perspective.
