3FM jocks at it again

Hi y’all, I’m back from a couple of weeks in Thailand and should hopefully find some time to report back next week, as I won’t be working till the new year. I thought I’d mention the Serious Request organised by 3FM (the fifth year running), because they’re aiming for 2.5 million Euros this year (I just made a small donation) in order for the Dutch government to double the amount.   In 1999, although trained as an economist and marketeer, I started working with an application called Crystal Reports (I don't even remember the version). I realised then that what I wanted to be was a, even though I don't think the term was already coined back then, Business Intelligence specialist.

  Over the years my training and experience has amassed and expanded into various fields of expertise and technologies. I am currently working as a BI consultant and trainer for IIPS with a focus on SAP Business Objects, IBM Cognos and Microsoft SQL Server technology.

  I am particularly interested in the technical aspects of Business Intelligence, i.e. how to implement and deliver a well performing BI solution, and not so much how to get it right from a business perspective.
