It seems that all I’m doing at the moment (when it comes to this blog) is reporting on my upgrading efforts. Version 2.1 has just been release. Now it’s time to play around for a bit…

Apparently the 2.06 version of WordPress could cause a security vulnerability in certain blogs. And that’s why there is this second update (2.07) within a short span of time.

The new iPhone

Damn, I just bought myself a new phone about a month ago! I’m quite happy with it, but after having watched the following video I must say that I prefer the iPhone to my T-Mobile branded TyTN. The hardware of the TyTN I do like a lot, it’s just that when it comes to usability the iPhone seems much more intuitive than Windows Mobile 5.

I reckon yet another battle lost by Microsoft…

  In 1999, although trained as an economist and marketeer, I started working with an application called Crystal Reports (I don't even remember the version). I realised then that what I wanted to be was a, even though I don't think the term was already coined back then, Business Intelligence specialist.

  Over the years my training and experience has amassed and expanded into various fields of expertise and technologies. I am currently working as a BI consultant and trainer for IIPS with a focus on SAP Business Objects, IBM Cognos and Microsoft SQL Server technology.

  I am particularly interested in the technical aspects of Business Intelligence, i.e. how to implement and deliver a well performing BI solution, and not so much how to get it right from a business perspective.
