Sensual
A track from the forthcoming album by Sensuàl. I’ve been listening to their new songs quite a bit over the last few weeks. Their forthcoming album is far from finished, so I haven’t really formed an opinion about their new work. But judging from the material they’ve made available via their website and myspace.com it’s going to be pretty different from their last album.

Spaanse Filmzomer bij de NPS/VPRO op Nederland 3
In juli en augustus brengen de NPS en VPRO de Spaanse Filmzomer op Nederland 3. Te beginnen met Hable con ella (13 juli) van regisseur Pedro Almodovar. Een andere film van hem, film High Heels (Tacones Lejanos) is op 17 augustus te zien. Van Julio Medem worden de films Lucia y el Sexo (13 juli) en Los amantes del circulo polar (27 juli) vertoond. Abre los ojos van Alejandro Amenábar, de inspiratie voor de remake Vanilla Sky (van Cameron Crowe in 2001 met Penelope Cruz en Tom Cruise) is te zien op 3 augustus. De Spaanse filmzomer wordt afgesloten op donderdag 31 augustus met Het Stenen Vlot van George Sluizer.

Materazzi vs Zidane
Na het redelijk sportieve begin van de finale WK voetbal gisteren vond ik het jammer dat deze eindigde met ‘het debacle’ in de tweede helft van de verlenging.
Wat Materazzi tegen Zidane heeft gezegd om hem zo te agiteren zal niet bepaald lekker zijn geweest. De speculaties zijn dan ook niet van de lucht, getuige het artikel op nu.nl waarin wordt gemeld dat z’n zuster werd uitgemaakt voor hoer of wellicht hijzelf voor vuile terrorist. Volgende week krijgen we hier als het goed is van de heer Zidane zélf meer over te horen.
